About
The Hengshan Awards is a competition organized by the Taoyuan Museum of Fine Arts to promote the exhibition and research of calligraphy art in Taiwan. The Awards consist of two categories: the "Hengshan Calligraphy Award" and the "Hengshan Calligraphy Research Award," which are held alternately every two years. The "Hengshan Calligraphy Award" is Taiwan's first competition to focus on calligraphy art exhibitions, and it operates under a fully open nomination system.
The "Hengshan Calligraphy Research Award" aims to cultivate and discover talents in calligraphy research and is conducted through a dual-track system of nominations and open submissions. The "Hengshan Calligraphy Art Criticism" focuses on critiquing the exhibitions held at the Hengshan Calligraphy Art Center and invites submissions on a regular basis. Through these three categories, the aim is to promote the continuous development of calligraphy art.
