Kao Chien-hui is an Art instructor, arts and culture writer, and guest curator. She is also the Academic consultant of Asia Art Archive. Kao has written over 10 books, including Art Concept and Its Discontents, Transpassing: Special Studies on Contemporary Asia Art in 2010s, Biennale Fever—The Alternative Voice of Politics, Aesthetics and Institutes, Rebellion in Silhouette: The New Myth on Contemporary Artists, and After Origin: Topic on Contemporary Chinese Art in New Age. Major exhibitions that she has curated include "Once Upon A Time—Unfinished Progressive Past," "Keelung Ciao: Ask the Way" in 2018, "Com(ic)media on Line: The 7th International Ink Painting Biennale of Shenzhen," "Scent of a Woman: the Collection of Female Subject in Taiwan," "Trading Place: Contemporary Art Museum," and "Activity Factor: The 50th Venice Biennial Taiwan Pavilion."
