Yu-Chou Li is a calligrapher and calligraphy art historian. He is a Visiting Professor of the Department of Painting and Calligraphy Arts, National Taiwan University of Arts; and a former Professor of the Graduate Institute of Chinese Studies, Mingdao University. He has served as a calligraphy jury member of art exhibitions including the National Art Exhibition, Taiwan Provincial Fine Arts Exhibition, and Da Dun Fine Arts Exhibition. He focuses on research fields such as calligraphy principles, extant works of calligraphers, and Taiwan’s calligraphy development during the Taiwan Under Japanese Rule Period, publishing over 10 calligraphy books including Research Papers on Chinese Calligraphy and Research Papers on Taiwanese Calligraphy.
