Kawachi Toshiharu is currently a Professor at the Daito Bunka University and its graduate school, a Visiting Professor at the Central University of Finance and Economics, a Visiting Professor at the Yichun University, a council member of Yomiuri Shohoka, and an honored member of the Xiling Seal Art Society. He has authored, translated, and supervised the translation of many calligraphy books. His fields of research include Chinese aesthetics, calligraphy history-related papers, and papers on Ming and Qing dynasty literati.
