Kim Byeong-Gi is a calligrapher and calligraphy theorist who currently serves as a Emeritus Professor at the Department of Chinese Literature, Jeonbuk National University; special committee member of the Cultural Heritage Administration of South Korea; and the Vice President of the International Calligraphers Association. He has won the First Calligraphy and Academic Award and mainly researches in the fields of Chinese–Korean calligraphy and ancient Chinese–Korean poetry, paying close attention to the development of Korean calligraphy and Chinese character Culture.
