Ho Pik Ki, Peggy

Research Fellow at the Art Museum of the Chinese University of Hong Kong

Dr. Ho Pik Ki, Peggy is currently a Research Fellow at the Art Museum of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a member of the Xiling Seal Art Society. She earned her Ph.D. from National Taiwan University, specializing in the history of Chinese calligraphy with a secondary focus in intellectual history. Her research interests encompass stone inscription rubbing, calligraphy, painting, and Guangdong paintings and calligraphy. Dr. Ho's publications include Reflections on History of Chinese Calligraphy: Case Studies on the History of Calligraphy in the Qing Dynasty, Rubbings Connoisseurship, and Research Method (2022), Artistic Confluence in Guangdong Selected Painting and Calligraphy from Ming to Mid-Qing China (2021), and Chunhua Ge Tie Shi Hua (2017). She has also edited Artistic Crosscurrents from Guangdong: Selected Painting and Calligraphy from Late Qing to Republican China (2022) and The Bei Shan Tang Legacy: Rubbings of Stone Engraving and Model Calligraphy (2015), alongside curating related exhibitions. Dr. Ho has published over 30 academic papers in journals such as The National Palace Museum Academic Quarterly and The National Palace Museum Monthly of Chinese Art. She has also presented and engaged in scholarly exchanges at institutions such as the National Palace Museum (Taiwan), the National Central Library (Taiwan), the Shanghai Museum, Zhejiang University, the China Academy of Art, and Heidelberg University in Germany. In 2023, she co-curated the highly acclaimed special exhibition "Rare Rubbings of the Song Dynasty" with the National Palace Museum.
